Matrix Materials:

The matrix material is reinforced with fibers to make a composite material. Different matrix materials can impact the mechanical, thermal, chemical, and cost performance greatly

  • A Semicrystalline olefin, Polypropylene has excellent impact and fatigue performance and chemical resistance. Its wide range in processing temperature makes it ideal for applications where re-molding or heat sealing with non-precise equipment are needed.

  • Nylon 6 (PA6) is a common engineering grade polymer with good performance at both high and low temperatures, and excellent chemical resistance.

  • with high clarity and impact toughness, PC is great for both aesthetic and structural applications where chemical resistance is not a concern. Exhibiting moderate molding characteristics below its melt temperature, this material can be molded with relative ease with non-professional equipment.

  • A high performance member of the nylon family, PPA outperforms PA6 in temperature, mechanical, and chemical. resistance properties
